YK (Yasir Khurshid) profile & Success Stories A young and bubbling 30 years old, a Computer Science graduate from B.Z. University, Multan, Yasir Khurshid is the CEO of LEADconcept, a software house in Lahore, Pakistan& Head Office in California, USA. He is a very talented & multi-tasking personality having multiple handful skills, i.e. Programming, Web Designing, Multimedia, Management, Sales, and Marketing etc. The interview covers his journey of some 14 years of rising success, which started from age of 18. Family Background and education Yasir was born in Faisalabad in 1979 from where he did his matriculation from MC HIGH SCHOOL. He did his graduation in BS Computer Sciences from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Yasir was an average student in his class but in final exams he always get good marks with “A” grade.

Yasir has been very much active in all the sports & extra curriculum activities during his studies & university life. He love to meet new people and socializing himselfthat is the reason he always have a huge network among all my friends and colleagues. He has been fond of arranging all the events, functions and initializing of new programs, events and introducing new ideas.

His father ran a small stationery business, but his parents invested a lot of efforts in the education of their children. He is a family of three brothers and two sisters. All of his siblings have done Masters in Sciences, most of them in the Software and Multimedia! Job career From Day-1, Yasir liked to be fully independent. In 1997, during the Graduation, he worked as a part-time typist. In addition to pay his way towards his education; it gave Yasir the necessary self-confidence. After his graduation, he worked as a Web Designer in a small organization; but he also started learning programming and other computer related skills. In the evening he started connecting with people/companies around the globe thru' Internet.

He was always in a habit of working late night, which gives him enough time to play around with different software, programs and exploring different tools, surfing around different websites. He was surfing the web back in 1999 and found a US based Company website "SoluComp", he posted random comment on the feedback page, suggesting re-designing of their website. The owners of "SoluComp" replied back and accepted his request and offered him to design their website. They offered him a good price and hired himon part-time basis to do their Web Designing/Web Development projects. Working for an overseas firm gave him an opportunity to communicate with customers on phone from USA and around the globe. He made a lot of contacts in USA and other countries and did a lot of Web Development work in different fields of IT industry.This was the first international contact and this encourage him a lot and he started looking around for work and registered himself on different freelancing websites.

In 2001, Yasir joined well-known Software Company at Lahore, and became the youngest Project Manager in the Company. He learned management, business development and sales. Here he managed and developed a couple of well-known websites for Government of Pakistan-- Hajj &Umrah and Government Forms for e-Government. He also developed the website for ShaukatKhanum Hospital during this job, which is a very famous Cancer Hospital in Pakistan. LEADconcept Dream & Achievements In mid 2003, Yasir left all jobs and heliterally had a dream to start his own Company, he registered his Company LEADconcept (http://www.leadconcept.com) in 2003 and started operation with a very small project of US $2,000 through a freelancer website. He chosen LEADconcept because LEAD means leader & Concept means an innovation idea to sell, so he decided to choose LEADconcept, as he is the leader. After completion of first successful project, the same client referred his Company and that's how he continues establishing a reputation in the international market.

Yasir had a contact/client name "Aram Salimi" based in California and he has couple of different business in US and PC-Component (http://www.pc-component.com)is one of his primaries Company. Aram helped Yasir setting up the US existence in US. Aram provided a physical space and other facilities in US office, so clients from around the globe can visit his US office and can verify LEADconcept existence in US. Aram helped him registered LEADconcept in US and setting up international phone numbers, financial & hosting servers. Yasir established yet another Company named as NetworkOneIT (http://www.networkoneit.com) with the help of Aram in USA for Web Hosting. Having a US existence gives a huge edge to him and of course satisfaction to the US customers.

LEADconcept have completed 7 years of successfully delivering many bigger and challenging Applications and one of their bigger successes to work for HP sub-contractor. They were assigned a huge Financial Application and it was 1.5 years contract. Their client hired 4 dedicated programmers for 1.5 year and they delivered this project successfully. Furthermore, there are many bigger and challenging Applications developed by LEADconcept and theyhavefocused more on quality, they have a huge list of clientage around the globe. LEADconcept have 25+ employees working in house on different technologies.

Yasir feel that so far it is his biggest achievement, and hefeels that he is one of the most satisfied person on the earth. However, life goes on and on and he being a practical person needs to continue this journey and learn a lot more& help people around to continue this chain. He would like to thank Almighty Allah for blessing him; prayers of his parents, his siblings and of course his friends.

Yasir traveled to UKand set up an office in London, he also met a couple of clients and expanded his network around the globe. A couple of clients from US/UK visited LEADconcept Lahore Office and spent few weeks with them, which was a great achievement for LEADconcept that people from US/UK visited them physically in Lahore Office. Needlessly it gave them the necessary added confidence in LEADconcept and Pakistan!

Yasir have helped deserving people around in our society thru' different ways as their contribution towards 'Corporate Social Responsibility'. LEADconcept has also become a monthly donor for ShaukatKhanum Cancer Hospital.

Yasir has been fairly successful in many ways. Personally he feels that he is a happy and satisfied person, he is living a peaceful life and have the necessary worldly comforts. He's got many kind friends and colleagues to enjoy life and share their company.
